About

I am a Chartered Financial Planner and a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, and I have a Master's degree in Financial Planning and Business Management from Manchester Metropolitan University. I am also a SOLLA (Society of Later Life Advice) accredited adviser and an affiliate member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Planning).

I specialise in advising clients who are either approaching retirement or in later life on a range of issues including their pensions, investments, inheritance tax planning, equity release and long-term care funding.

I am proud to have been listed in the VouchedFor UK Top Rated Financial Adviser Guide, which is distributed in The Times and The Telegraph newspapers, for 6 consecutive years (2020–2025). This award is based purely on reviews and ratings received directly from my clients.

Aside of my advice business, my voluntary work is also important to me. To this end, I am part of the Forces MoneyPlan initiative run by the Personal Finance Society in conjunction with On Course Foundation, Blesma and the Forces Pension Society. This initiative provides pro-bono financial guidance to armed forces service personnel throughout the UK, some of whom have been seriously injured in the course of duty. I am also an 'Education Champion' on behalf of the Personal Finance Society, delivering accredited personal finance skills workshops to students between the ages of 11-18. Since 2021, I have been a Trustee of Sudbury & South Suffolk Citizens Advice and I am currently the Co-Chair of this organisation.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife (and business partner) Sheriee, our children and ‘Bea’ the family Beagle! I also remain a keen snooker player, having played professionally on the World Snooker Tour for 12 years between 1993 and 2005.

Equity Release will reduce the value of your estate and can affect your eligibility for means tested benefits. Think carefully before securing other debts against your home. Equity released from your home will be secured against it.
